Yuval Horn | Partner

Mr. Horn is the founder of Horn & Co, Law Offices. The firm comprises 18 lawyers and three articled clerks, and represents technology based companies, their founders, investors and board members.

Mr. Horn regularly advises his clients on international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings (US, UK, Israel), initial coin offerings, structured finance, and corporate reorganizations, as well as on all legal aspects of operations of high tech and life sciences companies, including licensing and sale of technology, joint ventures, commercial transactions and labor law issues.

Mr. Horn served as Co-Chair of the International Bar Association (IBA) Technology Law Committee (2016-2017) and was nominated in 2020 as a member of the Advisory Board of the Technology Law Committee. He has been a member of the IRB (Helsinki) Committee at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, Israel since 2008, and represents the firm in Biolegis, a European network of law firms specializing in the life sciences (www.biolgeis.com). Since 2019, Mr. Horn is a member of the Contractual Committee at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, Israel.

Mr. Horn frequently lectures and writes about new financing models, formation of new businesses and technology transactions. Recent speaking engagements include: co-moderating the Showcase Session on Initial Coin Offerings at the IBA Annual Conference in Rome (Oct,2018), co-chairing the 4th IBA M&A in the Technology Sector Conference in Barcelona (Mar,2019), co-chairing the IBA 7th Annual World Life Sciences Conference in Philadelphia, PA, USA (May 2019), co-moderating the session on Data in Mergers and Acquisitions at the IBA Annual Conference in Seoul, South Korea (Sep,2019). moderating the AI in medicine session at the 6th Biennial Technology Law Conference - "Breaking down the walls and embracing transformation: 30 years of technology law" in Berlin, Germany (Nov,2019).

Mr. Horn was identified by The International Who’s Who of Life Science Lawyers as a Global Thought Leader in Life Sciences Transactions (2018-2020) and as one of the 5 leading individuals worldwide in life sciences transactions (2013,2015). During the years 2008 – 2020 Yuval has been ranked by Who’s Who as a leading expert in Israel in information technology and life sciences, by The European Legal Experts as an expert in Corporate and M&A and IT and Telecoms, by Chambers Global as a leading Israeli practitioner in M&A: High Tech and by IAM as a leading expert in intellectual property transactions.

Mr. Horn was born in Pasadena, CA. He received his LL.B from Tel Aviv University in 1988 and his LL.M. in 1994 from the same institution (thesis: “Conflicts of Laws in Negotiable Instruments”). He was a JSD candidate during the years 1995-1998 (proposed doctorate thesis: “Interpretation of International Contracts”). He has been a member of the Israeli Bar Association since May, 1990.

Mr. Horn began his practice as Aide to the Chief Military Prosecutor and Legal Advisor to the Chief of Staff (Ehud Barak) during the years 1988-1993. Since 1993 his practice has focused on technology transactions and corporate finance, where he has practiced in several leading firms as an associate and partner. During the years 2004-2009, Mr. Horn was a Senior Partner at Baratz, Horn & Co.
